Karl Lagerfeld Thinks Fashion People Shouldn’t Be Intellectual!!

could write about Karl Lagerfeld every day, and still have more to say. Today in Karl news, the tireless Kaiser sits down with the Telegraph’s Hilary Alexander as he preps for his upcoming couture show. Suffice to say, Karl gives some great quotes, which of course we need to share. (Also, spotted in the video: Karl’s signature Diet Coke-in-a-goblet, pointy flats.)
>>I think the top of luxury is to do what you want to do in the best of conditions.<<

>>Fashion is about change, and me too. I suddenly discovered that navy blue — well, this is gray — but navy blue is better on TV than black. The reflection, it’s more becoming.<<

>>But most of the other books are too pretentious to talk about. Because I don’t want an intellectual image, you know, I’m a fashion person.<<
